Christmas is just around the corner and I’m getting excited. We have nice gifts for our boys and I have two weeks off from work, so this year will be especially good. Here in Germany it’s very Christmas-y already. Frankfurt is decorated and the Gluhwein is dolled out by the litre. The Christmas market is beautiful and smells wonderful too. Tasty food and spiced wine wafts a breeze that makes ones mouth water. I went with the old JP Morgan crowed last week and we had Flamkuechen and Gluhwein and a damn good time.
It’s not only lovely, but there are choirs from the local schools singing and old wooden carousels for the children. The atmosphere is truly festive and I just love it. The market itself is huge and spans many streets, and probably a couple of miles. It starts at the Zeil and goes all the way to the Main River.
I love Christmas and this one should be one to remember.
